Wow, it's been such a long time since I've updated. Well, the election has come and gone, and I, personally can say get ready America, we're all screwed.

I'll be the first one to admit it if I'm wrong throughout these next four years, but I think everybody should be prepared in their houses just like they were for Y2K. Get out the duct-tape, America, it's gonna be repair time after this term.

This election meant more to me than any other. Not only because I'm finally old enough to realize how much our president effects our country as a whole, and each individual state. So many republicans truly don't understand how much this stings us as democrats. Not only do we have a republican white house, but we have a republican house, and senate, as well as a republican supreme court- which will soon be responsible for voting on whether or not to ban abortion. I'm scared as a woman for my own rights.

When you take away a woman's ability to get an abortion, you're playing God, picking and choosing which baby gets aborted. Republicans like you to think that by banning abortion, NO woman will be able to get one, but that's not the truth at all. While the rest of the country's women are without their own rights, filthy rich women such as Barbra Bush, and Theresa Heinz-Kerry herself will still be able to get abortions because they are well off, and have power. By banning abortion you're saying that middle class and poor women cannot have abortions, but if you've got money and power go right ahead.

This is just one more thing that goes to show that America is completely focused on money. The wealthiest 1% gets tax cuts, while poor people are living on the streets forced to beg for money. Thousands of people go around every day without health insurance, praying that nobody in their family gets seriously ill. Why can't we be more like Canada and have Universal Healthcare?!

Alright- I don't care what anybody says, Bill Clinton was a good president, and he's STILL a great man. Man, if I could, I'd just have Clinton back for four more years, and then have Hillary for the next eight.

I'm not sure if everybody is aware of this, but for the past four days- the Democratic National Convention has ben airing- and there have been some amazing speeches.

Future Vice President John Edwards gave a great speech, along with John Kerry's wife.

John Kerry delievered a great speech, which I strongly urge you to listen to: http://a647.g.akamai.net/7/647/12294/v001/boston04mp3.download.akamai.com/12459/07292004/john_kerry_128.mp3

Well, I'm officially back from DSA (Dutch Soccer Academy).

What'd I do the first day I was back? I saw Fahrenheit 9/11, and let me tell you, if it's possible, I dislike George Bush even more.

It was a great movie- and it really made me think about things from a different point of view. I don't have any family members serving in this war- nor do I know anybody that is in the military. I've never had to worry at night about whether or not that person is okay, just hoping for a letter to come, saying that they're doing alright, and things are going well.

Having to lose a brother, or mother, or father, or anybody I love, would be awful- and it pains me to think that people are losing people that they love, yet they still support this war. How can they?

One of my favorite parts of the movie, was when Michael Moore tried to get congressmen to sign their children up to go to war- because out of all the people in congress, only ONE has a child serving. The reason for that is- the majority of people serving, are there because they can't afford to go to college, so they need to serve, to get money for an education.

I just hope I'm never in that kind of situation.

This will most likely be my last post before I leave for a week. I'm off to UMPI (University of Maine Presque Isle) for soccer camp. It should be a new experience.. I'm staying in a dorm with a stranger, ah! Wish me luck everybody, and say your goodbyes, because a week without Logan, is like a week without air.

So now the Bush campain has sunk to a new low, they've decided to compare John Kerry, and other liberals like him, to Adolf HItler.

Adolf Fucking Hitler.

Not only is that perposterous, because neo-nazis held very right-wing, conservative views, NOTHING can compare to the genocide, and the killing of millions of innocent people, by one dictator, and his army.

Has anybody died because of John Kerry, Al Gore, or Michael Moore? I think not.

http://www.MOVEON.org held a contest to see who could make the best anti-bush commercial. MOVEON.org is a private website, and has no links or ties to the John Kerry campain.

They posted all the submissions, and one of them was a commercial which had a speech by Adolf Hitler, and had a bunch of things trying to connect HItler, to Bush.

These were never broadcast on television, and the only people that saw them were people that happened to run across that website.

The submission was pulled after a day on the website, because of the hateful topics.

The Bush campain thought it would be a good idea to make a commercial of their own, doing the same thing. While I don't think it was best for the person to compare Bush to Hitler in the first place, there was absolutely NO NEED for the Bush campain to make one of their own, and BROADCAST it!

The submission was just by one of the contestants, and had nothing to do with the John Kerry campain, because John Kerry, unlike Mr. Bush (the un-president), knows when too much, is too much.

This is a new low, even for mudslinging.
